Information We Collect Through Our Customer Experience Program

For products released on or after May 17, 2018, you may have the opportunity to join to our Customer Experience Program when you install a product. To comply with changes in privacy regulations, for products released prior to May 17, 2018, we will discard any new information received from the Customer Experience Program (even if you had previously opted in to it), and will automatically withdraw you from it. You will only be able to reenroll in the Customer Experience Program for that product if we release a new installer that requires you to affirmatively indicate that you would like to participate.

When you join our Customer Experience Program, your computer or device will automatically transmit limited information to us about the usage of our products and software development technologies. We collect information about your project and file type when you edit code in Visual Studio, about your use of controls within Visual Studio at design time, and about your use of our demonstrations. The information we collect is anonymized and aggregated about our users and does not identify an individual. This information is used by us to address issues within our products and improve our products.

We have a lawful basis for our processing of your Personal Data, including processing for our legitimate interests (when balanced against your rights and freedoms), to fulfill our obligations to you under a contract with you, and required by law, and with your consent.

To ensure your Personal Data processed by other recipients is treated in accordance with this Privacy Policy, DevSoft Baltic uses Data Processing Agreements between DevSoft Baltic and all other recipients of your data that include, where applicable, the Standard Contractual Clauses adopted by the European Commission (the “Standard Contractual Clauses”). The European Commission has determined that the transfer of Personal Data pursuant to the Standard Contractual Clauses provides for an adequate level of protection of your Personal Data. Under these Standard Contractual Clauses, you have the same rights as if your data was not transferred to such third party. We retain your Personal Data for as long as you keep your account open. In some instances, we may keep it after you close your account, for example we may keep it:
